She's in the Shackles of Hatred

You are overwhelmed, no doubt about it.

You just happen to have an intense dislike towards that particular person or group of people.

Is it anger? Resentment? Bitterness? Sense of separation? Loss of empathy?

It is all intensely packed in your heart towards that particular person or group of people.

You keep getting fuelled with negative thoughts. Specifically, to scheme harm or hurt or revenge.

“I just don’t want you around!” , “you disgust me!”, “all men are the same!” , “why won’t something bad just happen to her?” , “I wish you would just disappear!” , “I will never forgive you!”, “you make me sick!” , “you’re a waste of space!” , “I will do whatever it takes to hurt you!”

You keep saying these words. Your mantra these words have become.

They are eating you up, you do not just realise it.

This feeling of hatred you have towards that person or a group of people is gradually turning you into who you are not.

This feeling has completely taken away from you the ability to love and forgive.

This feeling has made you unsympathetic. You don’t even care anymore. All you want is that they get what they deserve!

Hatred does not just end as hatred. It is not some mere emotion. You have to deal with it.

Hatred stirs up conflict. Proverbs 10:12 “Hatred stirs up conflict, but love covers over all wrongs.”

And conflict takes up the baton and causes physical harm, emotional distress, social isolation and cycles of revenge. It does not stop there, the cycle continues.

Come on! It is not worth it! You cannot afford to keep giving the devil an edge over your life! Hatred is one of the many ways he keeps his preys captive.

Holding on to hate has made you a legal captive of the devil, and that’s why you’re not receiving favours from people, neither are you getting your healing nor getting answers to your prayers.

Even though, it seems like you are satisfied with how you feel towards such person or group of persons, it is doing to you much harm than the one you hate.

To make it worse, the devil has a stain on you to keep you captive.

Dear woman, Ephesians 4:31-32 “Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamour and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.”

This is what you should do instead of hate.

You have tried to ease yourself of this hatred but seems hard to let go? Look, 1 Corinthians 13:4-7  “Love is patient; love is kind; love is not envious or boastful or arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but rejoices in the truth. It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.”

The best way to get rid of hatred is employing LOVE. Yes, you read that right! It’s through love.

How do you love when all you’ve got is hate? Look, Galatians 5:22 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control."

Love is a fruit of the spirit. It is a nature you naturally get to have as you get transformed by the Holy Spirit. The source of love is God and can only be truly expressed when you are of God, that is, born of God. Born of God in the sense that, you are no longer of the flesh which does the sinful pleasures but now renewed by the spirit of God. It's like the "genes of your spirit" are replicated to be just like God's.

1 John 3:7-8 "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love."    You see that?

You will not be able to love if the spirit of God which bears love in our heart is absent. Without the help of the Holy Spirit, genuine love is impossible to express because God Himself is love and the source of love. If God is the source of love, you can now tell who the source of hatred is. Don't you think getting to know who love really is is the best? Don't you think getting your heart replicated to love just like God is the best kind of emotion to have compared to hate?

His Spirit which helps bear love in our heart will dwell in you also at the receiving of Jesus Christ into your heart. He comes when you are saved (believed in your heart that Jesus is the son of God and was raised from the dead and confessed with your mouth that Jesus is Lord - It's that simple to get saved).

Want to forsake hatred and journey in the light of God's love? Then you really want to say this: "Lord Jesus, I admit that I am a sinner and I believe in my heart that you died on the cross just for me. Please, forgive me. Make me your own, and help me to completely forsake hatred and walk in your love. Amen."

It is done! Now you can journey with the Holy Spirit into learning to love and never having anything to do with hate again! Love is powerful. It was love that made Jesus die for you. God does not love you because Jesus died for you. Jesus died for you because God loves you. You definitely want to walk in His love.

You are loved by God and your worth is far above rubies.

Shades Of Black

Tick Tock, Tick Tock, Tick Tock. Yes, it’s the sound of the clock ticking.  Each sound is a constant reminder that time is passing, and you should make the most of it.  Somehow, you are there, glued to your bed with your hands wrapped about your pillow. Nothing is of urgency to you. Nothing is important to you. Yes, you heard from a friend, “The bed only makes weak, but a step to getting something done stirs up strength and productivity is definite.” Well, it resonates with you but then, you don’t seem to get the motivation to get you up from the bed. All the while you’ve been on the bed, not even a wink of sleep could you get. This time you tried, but then, all you could do is creep back into your blanket. Why? Those memories came flashing back.   Memories from the past few years came back rushing like a flood.   Most times, you cried but this time, you just wallowed in those thoughts. Those thoughts are dark thoughts. You are traumatised. The only things those thou...

What She's Scared Of

You are just there in the room of your own mind. All you can see is darkness, not even a single ray of light. With you in the room of your mind is anxiety, insecurity, hopelessness, uncertainty, intrusive and negative thinking patterns. You can't just help it! The voice in your head is so loud. You can't help but worry. Your physical state is being haunted. Your mental state isn't at rest either. "What if I make this decision, won't it mar my life?" How do I free myself of this fear of the unknown? "What career path do I take?" "Will I be successful in this business I'm about to embark on?" The thoughts going on in the room of your mind they are. These thoughts go as far as thinking about the future when the present isn't even settled just yet. The fear of child birth, fear of the kind of home you would have, the fear of getting sick, fear of death, fear of the future, fear of relationships, fear of failure, fear of marriage, and so...
